Doodling is often done unconsciously and aims to release stress or boredom. Marina scribbles a fixed shape in her paintings and that is the shape of the arches. Systematically, she painted the shape in any material she saw fit to paint on: paper, glass, plastic, cardboard.
In October 2022, artist Marina Manukian participated in the International Inktober Challenge. The challenge was to draw a new drawing each day according to a word chosen by the organizers and using the technique of drawing ink on paper. She scribbled a new painting every day and added the shape of the arches in the selected parts of the painting. "After choosing a composition, setting boundaries and scribbling the shape in the designated parts, I was able to control the shape of the arches and live with it in harmony," Marina wrote.
After the challenge ended, Marina scanned the doodles and colored them in the Illustrator graphic software. This created a series of colorful, original and special paintings that you will not find anywhere else. These paintings are sold exclusively on the online gallery website and only 10 copies of any size are available. They are printed on high-quality cotton canvas and come rolled up in shipping, allowing shoppers to add a frame to their personal taste.
